Whether you’re picking up a bolt-action rifle for the first time, learning your AR-15 platform, or preparing a shotgun for home defense, every class is private or small-group and built around the specific firearm you bring. Rentals are available on request.
Basic Rifle
A fundamentals course for any rifle platform — bolt-action, lever-action, or semi-automatic. Perfect if you’ve inherited a rifle, bought one for hunting or the range, and want to learn to run it safely and accurately from the ground up.
- Range orientation, range commands and safety
- Rifle nomenclature and how your action functions
- Ammunition selection and basic ballistics
- Stance, natural point of aim and trigger control
- Safe loading, unloading and zeroing your optic or sights
Bring: your rifle with sights or optic and manual if available, 2+ magazines (if applicable), eye/ear protection, 100+ rounds.
Basic AR Rifle
For students with limited or no experience on the AR-15 platform. Taught with hands-on demonstration right on the shooting line, so problems get corrected immediately and safely.
- Range orientation, range commands and safety protocols
- Rifle parts nomenclature and .223/5.56 ballistics basics
- Rifle operation, loading and unloading procedures
- Shooting fundamentals and basic zeroing
- Progression from first shots to groups out to 100 yards

Defensive Rifle
Takes a shooter who is already safe and comfortable with a rifle into real-world defensive application — practical accuracy, speed, and decision-making under time pressure.
- Safety refresher and efficient ready positions
- Precision and speed drills at varied distances
- Malfunction clearance and rapid reloads
- Shooting from barricades and positional shooting
- Threat identification and follow-up shots

Basic Shotgun
For students with minimal or no shotgun experience. A full 90 minutes on the range covering both semi-automatic and pump-action platforms.

- Shotgun parts identification and ammunition types
- Basic operation and shooting fundamentals
- Safe loading, target engagement and unloading
Bring: shotgun (rentals available), 65+ rounds (50 birdshot #7/8, 5 slugs, 10 rounds #00 buck), eye/ear protection.
Defensive Shotgun
For shooters comfortable with a shotgun who want to apply it defensively — patterning, disciplined loading under pressure, and practical employment inside a home or structure.
- Patterning your shotgun and select-slug drills
- Loading technique and emergency reloads
- Recoil control and malfunction clearance
- Movement, use of cover and transitions
- Practical employment and decision making
