Pistol Training
A complete handgun curriculum — from the very first time you pick up a pistol through defensive, real-world level skill. Choose the course that matches where you are today.
Four Courses. One Clear Path Forward.
Whether you just bought your first pistol, want to build the confidence to carry it every day, or need your annual LEOSA qualification, every class is private or small-group, hands-on, and led personally by Frank. A rental pistol is available if you don’t yet own one.
Basic Pistol
Built for first-time pistol owners or anyone with limited experience. You’ll leave comfortable, safe, and capable — not just informed.
- Range orientation, range commands and firearms safety
- Basic pistol operation and ammunition components
- Core shooting fundamentals and proper reloads
- Legal considerations around self-defense scenarios
- Goal: shoot 8-inch groups or better and reload independently
Bring: your handgun (rentals available), ~100 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection.
Pistol Two
Designed for graduates of Basic Pistol (or comparable training) who carry — or hold an LTC — but still feel uncertain about it. This class closes that confidence gap.
- Range orientation and a firearms safety review
- Reinforcement of foundational shooting technique
- Safe holster draws and multiple reload methods
- Continued skill development and rapid target work
- Additional topics available on request
Goal: feel genuinely at ease carrying your firearm every day.
Defensive Pistol
Built for shooters already comfortable with their handgun who want to sharpen defensive capability under real time pressure. You manage your own reloads and malfunctions — just like you would in real life.
- Safety refresher and draw from concealment
- Trigger control, close-range and distance accuracy
- One-handed shooting and rapid reloading
- Malfunction clearance and shooting while moving
- Steel, VTAC and 3D target systems
Bring: serviceable pistol/revolver with 2+ magazines, belt holster, eye/ear protection, 200–400 rounds. Group discounts up to 20% for 4+ people.
LEOSA Certification
The Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA / HR218) allows Qualified Law Enforcement Officers (926B) and Qualified Retired or Separated Officers (926C) to carry a concealed firearm in any U.S. jurisdiction, regardless of state or local law, with certain exceptions. This course meets — and exceeds — the TCOLE standard for your annual requalification.
- Exceeds TCOLE annual certification standards
- Range fees, targets and a certification card included
- No existing LEOSA credential required to attend
- Card can be submitted to your agency or TCOLE
Bring: serviceable pistol/revolver, 2 magazines or speedloaders, 50 rounds, eye/ear protection, photo ID.
